An artist that i like

When I entered college I was super obsessed with this artist, I'm not going to say I admire him, because I don't know anything about his private life, but I really like his art and how he has been developing it. I like Tim Bengel because he has a very particular way of making paintings.  He is a 31-year-old German artist, he is known for his detailed sand paintings adorned with gold leaf. He started by making short videos of his technique, not as a "how to" but rather it offers a visual experience where the final result of his work is revealed.

Bengel studied art history and philosophy at the University of Tubingen. His first solo exhibition was in 2017 in New York, and he was the gallery's first artist found online. Due to his success on social media, in which his videos receive 400 million views, he increased his openness in the field of arts and culture and is considered one of the most famous artists of his generation.

I like this artist for the different way he has of making his paintings, as I said before. In a time when art is not appreciated and thanks to the internet everything happens so fast, it arrives fast and it goes on to the next very fast, I think he has managed to fulfill "the dream" and above all he has managed to innovate while maintaining his own essence.

Why i like art

As a child I enjoyed making collages and drawing, but nothing very wow, I did enjoy going to museums but I didn't go very often. But in high school my mom gave me a coupon for oil painting classes, and that's when I fell in love with painting, I was in classes for about three years I think, in those years I decided to study arts.

After so many years studying arts, and realizing that I have not learned everything I expected to learn, I feel a little disappointed and I have ended up hating oil painting.  But to see the bright side, I found new art disciplines that have me a bit obsessed, such as goldsmithing and engraving, and my latest obsession is digital design. In none of these disciplines I consider myself very good but I enjoy learning and doing new things.

I like modern art in general, both art, music and dance. I like to see it from the point of view that what is modern, popular or trend, in twenty years in the future will be considered vintage, and I like to think that I can enjoy at the time that it was something original or new. How is it happening now with the fashion of the 2000s, I like to see them return with the additions of the current era but I don't know if I would dress again as I did when I was ten years old. For this reason, I also consider graffiti, hip hop music and rap dance art. For me, hip hop music from the 90s is a form of art, just like hip hop music and rap from now will be for the next generations.

I don't have a favorite artist, neither in plastic art, nor in music, I only have seasonal obsessions depending on which discipline has me obsessed.

A food i really like

A food that i really like is spaghetti with tomato sauce.

Spaghetti is made like normal noodles are cooked, with boiled water, a few bay leaves, left for about 15 minutes and then strained. The sauce, as I like to make it myself, I put the soy meat in a bool with water so that it hydrates, meanwhile the vegetables are fried with a little olive oil in a wok.  Then I add the tomato sauce, the soy meat and a lot of oregano.  I leave it for about 10 minutes, stirring every so often so that it doesn't stick, and that's it, I serve immediately so it doesn't get cold, with tomato salad for more pleasure.

I really like this food because when I was a child my grandmother always cooked it for me when I didn't like the food my uncles made, then it was the first thing I learned to cook on my own, and I did it when I took care of my siblings, and now that I'm vegetarian I love how it tastes with soy meat.
